Find your Slovenia.

For each answer the Sestante compares the eleven places on a scale from 0 to 1 and measures how close each one is to what you chose. Measured data only:

• driving time from your city, OSRM without traffic (real summer times on the coast can be much longer);
• the elevation of the ground around the centre, EU-DEM: it is the axis between sea and plateau, ranked because the coast and the Karst have no elevations in between;
• how many houses sold in the municipality in your price band, from the public GURS register: what counts is where that market exists, not where you spend least;
• the rise of the ground around the centre, on the coast only: it measures the terrain, not your future window;
• the character of the place (seaside town, riviera, Karst): our own classification, stated as such;
• minutes from the hospital with an emergency department in Izola, from the marinas, from the Italian-language schools, from the airports of Trieste and Ljubljana, from Trieste.

The score is the weighted average of those closeness values, from 0 to 100: sea or plateau weighs double, budget one and a half, everything else once. Same answers, same ranking: no chance, no commercial preference.

The Sestante does not know houses: it knows places. The hills of Koper are not among the eleven places because their data sits on the hill pages.
